Meet The Staff
Viva
Office Manager/On-site IT Tech
Hi, I’m Viva! I’m the Office Manager here, and I have been with the office in some capacity or another since 1999. I grew up in Manchester, so it’s great to still be connected to the town. Patients can come to me for anything — from appointments they need to insurance questions. I always want our patients to be as informed as possible about their visits here. My daily objective is to provide everyone with exceptional customer service, and to have every patient leave the office with a smile (a clean smile!) on their face. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, baking, and laughing!
Chhoti

Hi, my name is Chhoti, and I am the Dental Assistant here! I graduated from Porter and Chester Institute with a degree in Dental Assisting in 2021. Besides English, I am fluent in Nepali and Hindi. During my free time, I love to hike and to spend time with my cat, Mylo! I am currently attending Goodwin University to become a dental hygienist.
Kasia
Dental Hygienist
Hi, my name is Kasia. I graduated from Tunxis Community College in 2002 with a degree in Dental Hygiene, and I have been working for Dr. Carta ever since. In 2006, I received my certification to administer local anesthesia. I am CPR-certified. Besides English, I speak fluently in Polish and can communicate in Russian as well. If you want a whiter smile, I am the ‘Zoom-Whitening Technician’ here in the office. I enjoy seeing the great results that patients get after their whitening. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, the outdoors, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.
Amy
Dental Hygienist
Hi, My name is Amy. I began my career in 1997, working full time as a Dental Assistant while achieving my CDA certification. After eight years, I decided to further my dental knowledge and began the steps required towards becoming a dental hygienist. I graduated from Tunxis Community College with a Dental Hygiene Degree in 2005. I received my local anesthesia administration certification in 2006 at the University of New Haven. I also have a degree in Medical Office Administration with a certificate in Medical Coding. I joined Dr. Carta’s team November 2005, and continue my commitment to expertise in dental hygiene treatment and excellence in outstanding patient care. It gives me a great satisfaction to make patients feel at ease and comfortable during their treatments. I feel laughter is always the key to a great dental appointment. If you don’t laugh once, I haven’t done my job. I volunteer at the Special Olympics every year since 2003. While I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog Dexter.
Donna
Patient Coordinator
Hi, my name is Donna. I graduated from Seymour High School and then continued my education at Stone’s School of Business. I went on to become a legal secretary in downtown Los Angeles for 10 years before moving back to CT. I am CPR certified and have taken continuing education courses to help both myself and the patients we serve. At work, I enjoy joking with and calming down any of our nervous patients. I greet people with a smile and get to know them as people – not just as one of our patients. They appreciate not being “just a number” when they come through our door. When not working, I enjoy anything to do with animals and nature. I’ve been doing volunteer animal rescue for over 25 years, which I find very rewarding. I cherish the time I have with my own animals. I also look forward to family reunions every year, as my family is spread out in different states.
Ashley
Dental Hygienist
Hi my name is Ashley,
I am one of the dental hygienists here at Dr Carta’s office. I graduated from Tunxis Community College in 2012 with a degree in dental hygiene and licensure for administering local anesthesia. I have also been certified as an orofacial myofunctional therapist.
As a dental hygienist, I enjoy connecting with patients during their appointments and hearing about what brings them joy. Building trusting relationships with my patients makes our time in the chair together enjoyable while also improving their oral health.
Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my growing family, gardening, camping and biking. I love exploring New England and seeking out great coffee shops, farmers markets and hiking trails.
